Event Description

NEW ART EXHIBITION IN THE CORRIDOR COMMUNITY GALLERY Persistent Creativity Everyday: a whimsical journey Mixed media work by Beth Richardson - January 11 - Feb 28, 2022 About the Exhibition: Beth Richardson’s exhibition showcases how a playful creative transforms small daily steps and everyday materials into works of art. Her selection highlight playfulness, and the simplicity of her practices. While bedridden for most of 2017, Richardson developed 5 – 10 minute practices which allowed her to commit to them daily. She's been called the “Queen of Small Steps” because her simple, childlike practices – though they may seem small individually – have added up to quite a body of work in a relatively short time period. About the Gallery: Located adjacent to the City’s ceramics studio and recreation studios in the lower level of the Recreation Centre, this space provides a public venue for local artists and allows us to share in the talents and interests of fellow community members. https://www.reddeer.ca/galleries address: 4501 47a Ave, Red Deer AB (in lower level of the Recreation Centre) Hours of operation: www.reddeer.ca/recreation-centre The City of Red Deer has implemented the Provincial Restrictions Programs (REP) for all recreation and culture facilities.
