Event Description
Red Deer for Palestine is organizing an Art Gallery Fundraiser on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, from 2PM to 7PM at the Pioneer Lodge in Parkvale! Join us for significant art installations, including a variety of local art for sale (with at least half of proceeds donated to aid in Palestine), a sensory tent and rubble display, an interactive art booth, and a multipointed discussion with brief speeches from both Palestinian and Jewish perspectives. Light concessions will be sold. This Gallery aims to raise awareness in our community about the ongoing genocide, pressure local politicians, and directly support relief efforts in Palestine. All proceeds go to UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East), a UN agency that supports the relief and human development of Palestinian refugees and is the main humanitarian provider in Gaza under Israeli bombardment.
