Event Description
Gaetz Lakes Gourd & Glow: Halloween Family Fun
Sunday, October 26
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Join us for an exciting evening of Halloween fun! Arrive any time between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. to begin your family adventure at our (mostly indoor) activity stations: gourd carving, spooky science, marshmallow roast, and more!
Then, with your freshly-made gourd lantern in hand, depart from the Kerry Wood Nature Centre shortly before 7:00 p.m. for a guided Gourd Walk in the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary.
We'll be joined on our Gourd Walk by a group of talented RDP Visual Arts students as they unveil an enormous, illuminated bat puppet they've created together over the past several weeks. Like our glowing gourd lanterns, this creature of the night will shine from within.
Wear your family-friendly Halloween costume to compete for the title of best dressed, and win a prize for your family!
This program takes place at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.
