Event Description

Make something beautiful for yourself in this plant-based dye workshop! 🌿 Learn the science behind plant pigments and how to turn them into naturally-coloured textiles you’ll want to wear. We’ll coax warm yellows from tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), a common invasive weed found throughout Central Alberta, then experiment with gentle modifiers and physical techniques to shift hue and build pattern. Each registrant takes home a blank hand-woven habotai scarf to dye, along with tips for keeping their colours looking their best! 🧣

All materials provided. Suitable for ages 18+.

$20/member | $25/non-member
