Encore Art Show

Discover & Delight at the 2024 Encore Art Show  

Prepare to indulge your senses in a vibrant celebration of creativity at the 2024 Encore Art Show in the Lacombe Memorial Centre! Whether you're a passionate art collector or simply looking for the perfect piece for your space, there's something here for everyone. The show features handcrafted fiber art, intricate wood carvings, paintings, ceramics, photography, and more! Each piece is a testament to the incredible skills of our local and regional art community.

Thanks to the generous support from Vesta Energy, admission is by donation, making the event accessible for everyone. Your contributions are a direct investment into the creative heart of our community, as all proceeds support the Lacombe Arts Endowment Fund.

What can you expect at the Encore Art Sale?

Friday April 26th, 2024  - 1pm to 8pm

  • Brushstroke For A Cause Artist Paint-Off - 6pm to 7pm
  • Artful Libations - 6pm to 8pm  

Unwind and socialize with friends as you quench your thirst with a curated selection of craft brews, each chosen to complement the artistic experience while enjoying a selection of mouth-watering appetizers.

“More Mixed Nuts - A Return to Song, Schtick and All That Jazz!”

A comedy cabaret style of show that can only be described as pure fun!

This is a revival of the original Mixed Nuts production staged in 2019, featuring an all new collection of comedy sketches and show tunes, sure to get your toes tapping and your belly laughing.

Prepare to snack on bits that are; mature, topical, zany, a wee bit biting, wonderfully witty and even a little dark.

Compiled and Directed by Lori Lane, with Musical Direction by Morgan McKee and Choreography by Elisa Nixon.

6 performances only, 7:30 curtain Fridays and Saturdays, 2:00 pm Matinee on Sundays

This is NOT a children's show! It has some mature themes and is suitable for 18+.

2024 Family History Fair

Are you interested in learning more about your family history? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day 
Saints and the Alberta Genealogical Society Red Deer Branch are hosting a Free Family History Fair on 
Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Doors open at 8:15 am. There are sessions to help 
you learn how to do family history in a variety of ways for the beginner and those with some experience.
The event is Free but registration is required. The event will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of 
Latter-day Saints at 3002 47 Ave, Red Deer.
