Embrace the Dark

It's not the shortest day of the year, but it has the earliest sunset! Come for an evening full of activities about interesting space phenomena. Black holes, alien signals, the life of an astronaut on the ISS, and more (including outside stargazing, weather permitting). Two short planetarium shows at 6:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Looking for an exciting way to keep your kids active on PD Days? Sign them up for our Sports PD Day Camp, designed for children aged 5-10. They'll enjoy a fun-filled day with games, interactive exhibits, crafts, and more!

Kids' Holiday Workshop

from 10:00 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.
Get some last-minute (kid free) shopping done and be home in time for lunch! We'll keep them busy with games, crafts, activities, and treats.

Ages 6 to 12

Family Snowshoeing
Saturday, December 28
From 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Bring the family for some holiday snowshoe fun, no experience necessary! Our snowshoes fit 3 years and up; you are welcome to bring a sled for your very littles. Be sure to dress for the weather to stay comfortable and warm while enjoying some time together in the beautiful Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary.

Snowshoes are first come, first served. Last snowshoes go out at 3:00 p.m.

No high heels on boots please. Program runs snow levels and temperature permitting.Temperature cut off is -25 degrees Celsius including windchill.

Celebrate New Year's Eve with a night full of family fun at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame! Join us on December 31, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM for an evening packed with exciting activities for all ages.
