Green Deer

Leave it better than you found it! Green Deer is Red Deer’s annual city-wide spring cleanup and we need everyone’s help to keep our city looking its best. As part of the Kerry Wood Nature Centre and The City of Red Deer's phased re-opening, a modified Green Deer program began on May 15 and will continue for several weeks (end date TBD). Registration is free, fast, and easy. After registering online, we will arrange a date and time for contactless supplies pickup at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. All participants are highly encouraged to register their cleanup events, even if they do not need any supplies. Red Deer Walk for Muscular Dystrophy

The Red Deer Walk for Muscular Dystrophy is an annual community event and fundraiser in support of persons with neuromuscular disorders. Event activities include: 1km walk, BBQ served by the Red Deer Fire Department, outdoor games, face painting, crafts, disability resource booths, silent auction, 50/50, and so much more. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. All proceeds from this special event help to provide essential medical and mobility devices to Muscular Dystrophy Canada clients, as well as furthering medical research in pursuit of finding a cure for MD.
