We are thrilled to announce that Havoc Fighting Championships will be returning for its 20th event. This evening promises to be an unforgettable night of action. The event will take place on March 28th, 2025, at the Red Deer Resort and Casino.
Havoc Fighting Championships brings together the intense excitement of Bare-Knuckle Boxing and MMA, with approximately 11 high-stakes fights that include mixture of amateur and professional bouts. Our athletes showcase their exceptional skills in the cage, with the potential of advancing to major promotions like the UFC. To ensure a thrilling and competitive environment, we bring together local talent and top challengers from across North America, all while upholding rigorous safety standards through commission oversight.

This year's lineup offers a dynamic mix of comedy, satire, and heartfelt storytelling, featuring original works including by local playwrights and a classic play written by Anton Chekhov. CATNIPS is a rollercoaster of theatrical surprises that will leave you laughing, thinking, and wanting more!

➡ The Boor (by Anton Chekhov) – A hilarious clash of grief, loyalty, and unexpected romance unfolds when a stubborn landowner demands payment from a recent widow proving a point to her late, unfaithful husband.
➡ West Brook Part 1 (by Jessica Swainson) – Can love break through the barriers of class expectations? Charles defies tradition when he falls for Melissa, a woman from a lower class, in this romantic drama about choice and family tensions.
➡ A Trumped Up Fairy Tale (by Courtney Boniface) – A satirical, laugh-out-loud fairytale about a not-so-beloved king on a quest to make his kingdom great again. But first, he must answer the ultimate question: What do women want?
➡ The Germ Chronicles (by Jeremy Robinson) – A semi-autobiographical staged reading exploring the creative moments that shape us, blending art, family, personal trauma, and humour in a deeply personal journey.

The 2025 Heartland Regional One-Act Festival will take place on April 11 and 12, 2025 in the Studio Theatre at Central Alberta Theatre’s Memorial Centre. This annual theatre festival celebrating community theatre is presented by the Alberta Drama Festival Association and is a springboard for the Provincial One-Act Festival later this spring.

NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES!!!
Join us on Saturday, June 21st at 2:00 pm for our annual show 'Nothing But Blue Skies' which will put music in your hearts and smiles on your faces! Our Sweet Adelines chorus sings acappella 4 part harmony, barbershop style and you won't want to miss this incredible performance by Red Deer's premiere award winning chorus!
