Free Try-It Out Day: Stretch & Stories: You are a Lion

Part of the Active Library: Free Try-It Wellness Series.

Stretch & Stories is a fun, interactive program designed for children ages 5-7 and their caregivers. Through a combination of simple yoga poses and storytelling, children get the chance to move, stretch, and relax in a playful and calming environment. As they listen to stories, they also practice basic yoga movements that help them focus, build coordination, and learn to stay calm.

February 15: You are a Lion

Get ready to roar, stretch, and move like the king of the jungle! In this playful yoga storytime we will go on a wild adventure through the savanna with fun animal poses. We can provide yoga mats, or you're welcome to bring your own.

As part of the Active Library: Free Try-It Wellness Series, all participants at this month's Stretch & Story Program will be entered into a draw for exciting prizes!

Skijoring Westerner Park

What is Skijoring, you ask?

It’s a snowy mash-up where a skier clips into their skis, grabs a towline, and gets whisked across the snow by a horse (or even a dog!).

At its heart, skijoring is all about teamwork and speed. We can’t wait to bring this experience to a venue where everything fun and western is brought to life! Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines or brave enough to try it out, it’s one of those “only in winter” thrills that makes the season unforgettable. Perfect for anyone who loves snow, animals, and a little bit of controlled chaos.

Race Divisions include Novice & Open, and we can’t forget the exhilarating BIG AIR segment of the show!
