Green Deer

Leave it better than you found it! Green Deer is Red Deer’s annual city-wide spring cleanup and we need everyone’s help to keep our city looking its best. As part of the Kerry Wood Nature Centre and The City of Red Deer's phased re-opening, a modified Green Deer program began on May 15 and will continue for several weeks (end date TBD). Registration is free, fast, and easy. After registering online, we will arrange a date and time for contactless supplies pickup at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. All participants are highly encouraged to register their cleanup events, even if they do not need any supplies. Participating in Green Deer is an effective way to have a positive environmental impact, strengthen community bonds during this time of need, and teach our children and youth that we are not powerless in the face of a crisis. Green Deer is made possible with support from The City of Red Deer and the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
